I did a bit of work on polishing combat this week. Including animation updates and improved attack feel on hit. I also started converting the old UI to the new one.

Took me the week but here's a new zombie! If I was more proficient with modelling tools I might have been able to do this quicker but I think it turned out quite well.

Updated the riot shield zombie's animations and added some cool new item stat variations. The item variations will improve as your luck or crafting improve.

Added a new zombie variant and changed up how spikes work. Currently working on improving the pathing behaviour and efficiency of the pathing system.

Started work on random building generation. The plan is to make these interesting areas that will provide unique loot and a different experience from chopping down trees.

The biggest visual change I have to show this week is that addition of rivers. I've also added a very needed UI feature: stack splitting.

Grave Complex - Dev Log - 02/09/19 (NPC Vehicle + Zombie Pathing)


New this week:

- Created the primary NPC's vehicle.
 - Improved Zombie Pathing (Especially the large zombies)
- Added directional lighting during the night

 I guess I should call the charging zombies something other than "Large Zombies"... Any suggestions?

Added the large zombies back in.
 Fixed some pathing issues (though some remain)
Added difficulty level based on player level and days in game

Grave Complex - Combat 012 (Armor & Crystals)


Added armor to the character system which required some mucking about with blender and the mesh swapping code I'm using. I've also created the first version of a key element in the game the crystals. More to come on those later.

Grave Complex - Misc_017(Optimization)


Average draw calls down 52%, overfill 2-3 times lower. It was a good week. What does this mean? Better performance on all around but it will be most noticeable on lower end devices.

Grave Complex - TowerDefense 011 (Steam Powered)


Alpha soooon! Seriously though, It's pretty much ready to go. I'm going to wait to release until after Christmas in the hopes that it will get me more feedback :D. If you would like to be part of the private alpha (and you haven't already) let me know. I'll add you to the list!
